and on Your wondrous works I will meditate.Psalm 145:5 |
Dear Friend,
How are you? I have to send a note to tell you how much I love and
care about you.
I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends.I waited all day
hoping you would want to talk with me also.As evening drew near,I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to
rest you - and I waited. You never came.Oh,yes,it hurt me - but I still love you because I am your friend.
I saw you fall asleep last night and longed to touch your brow so I spilled
moonlight upon your pillow and face.Again,I waited, wanting to rush to you so we could talk.I have so many gifts for you!You
woke up late and rushed to work.My tears were in the rain.
Today you look so sad - so all alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My
friends have let me down and it hurts me so,so many times too,but I love you.
Oh!If you would only listen to me.I LOVE YOU!I try to tell you in the blue
sky and in the quiet green grass.I whisper it in the leaves on the trees and breathe it in the colors of the flowers.I shout
it to you in the mountain streams, and give the birds love songs to sing.I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air
with nature scents. My love for you is deeper than the oceans, and bigger than the biggest want or need in your heart!Oh!If
you only knew how much I want to help you.
Just call me - ask me - talk with me!Please don't forget me.I have so much
to share with you.
Okay,I won't bother you any further, you are free to choose me.It is your
decision.I have chosen you,and will wait for you - because I love you.
Your Friend, God
I BELIEVE IN GOD AND I BELIEVE IN MYSELF
(To be read every day until this becomes your thinking)
I believe that God is good, that God is love, and that I am God's beloved creation with divine potential and possibility.
I believe that I am one with God and that God is one with me. I believe that there is only one presence and one power in the
universe and in my life, God, the good omnipotent. I believe that God and I can accomplish great things. I believe that God
works in a wonderful way in and through my mind and heart, in and through the relationships and circumstances of my life.
I believe that I am on the pathway to greater realization of the magnitude of God's power. I believe that all things are possible,
that the only limits are the ones I place on myself. I believe that God and I are an invincible team. I believe in God and
I believe in myself.
ST THERESA'S PRAYER
May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you
are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those
gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child
of God...Let this presence sittle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is
there for each and every one of us.
A PRAYER FOR EACH OTHER
I just wanted to tell you guys that I love you all and I am so grateful to have each of you in my life. I hope you all
have a wonderful day. May everyone who reads this be blessed. REMEMBER to pray. That's all you have to do. Make
sure you pray, and pray believing that God will answer.
May today be all that you need it to be today. May the peace of God rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight
and conquer all your fears. May God manifest Himself today in ways that you have never experienced. May your joys be fulfilled,
your dreams be closer and your prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory
is enlarged and I pray that you step into your destiny.
I pray for peace, health, happiness and true and undying faith in God. Please remember those who are experiencing
great tragedy in their lives right now.

Read for a surprise worth your time...
Back in the 50's there was a well known radio host/comedian/song
writer in Hollywood named Stuart Hamblen who was noted for his drinking, womanizing, partying, etc. One of his bigger
hits at the time was "I won't go hunting with you Jake, but
I'll go chasing women."
One day, along came a young preacher holding a
tent revival. Hamblen had him on his radio show presumably to poke fun at him.
In order to gather more material for his show, Hamblen
showed up at one of the revival meetings. Early in the service the preacher announced,
"There is one man in this audience who is a big fake." There
were probably others who thought the same thing, but Hamblen was convinced that
he was the one the preacher was talking about (some would call that conviction)but he was having none of that.
Still the words continued to haunt him until a couple of
nights later he showed up drunk at the preacher's hotel door around 2AM demanding
that the preacher pray for him! But
the preacher refused, saying, "This is between you and God and I'm not going
to get in the middle of it." But he did invite Stuart in and they talked until
about 5 AM at which point Stuart dropped to his knees
and with tears, cried out to God.
But that is not the end of the story.
Stuart quit drinking, quit chasing women, quit
everything that was 'fun.' Soon he began to lose favour with the Hollywood crowd.
He was ultimately fired by the radio station when he
refused to accept a beer company as a sponsor. Hard times were upon him. He tried
writing a couple of "Christian" songs but the only one that had much success was "This Old House", written for
his friend Rosemary Clooney.
As he continued to struggle, a long time friend named
John took him aside and told him, "All your troubles started when you 'got religion,'
was it worth it all?" Stuart answered
simply, "Yes." Then his friend asked, "You liked your booze so much, don't you ever miss it?" And his answer was, "No."
John then said, "I don't understand how you could give it up so easily." And Stuart's response was, "It's no big secret. All
things are possible with God." To this John said, "That's a catchy phrase. You should write a song about it."
And as they say, "The rest is history."
The song Carl Stuart Hamblen wrote was "It Is No Secret." "It
is no secret what God can do. What He's done for others, He'll do for you. With arms wide open, He'll welcome you. It is
no secret, what God can do...."
By the way... the friend was John Wayne.
And the young preacher who refused to pray for Stuart Hamblen?
...That was Billy Graham.
Share this with your friends ... I did

man to know the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1

Happiness keeps You Sweet,

When Your Hut's on Fire
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him.
Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little
hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food,
he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and everything
was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, "God! How could you do this to me?"
Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! "How did
you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
The Moral of This Story: It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God
is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to
be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.
P.S. You may want to consider sharing this, because you never know who feels as if their hut is on fire today.

Breakfast at McDonald's (author unknown)
I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had
to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutel y inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced
with.
Her last project of the term was called, "Smile." The class was asked to go out and smile at three people
and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought
this would be a piece of cake, literally.
Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp
March morning. It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be served,
when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch... an overwhelming
feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved. As I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty
body" smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me,
he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, "Good day" as
he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized
the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with
them. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, "Coffee is all Miss" because that was all they could
afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).
Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with
the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.I smiled and asked
the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner
to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's
cold hand.He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Thank you." I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said,
"I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope." I started to cry as I walked away to join my
husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope."
We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to
give. We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.
I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and
the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention of
the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal
people and to be healed. In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son, instructor, and every soul that shared
the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student. I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:
UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

You are in your car driving home. Thoughts wander to the game you want to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a
sound unlike any you've ever heard fills the air. The sound is high above you. A trumpet? A choir? A choir of trumpets? You
don't know, but you want to know. So you pull over, get out of your car, and look Up. As you do, you see you aren't the only
curious one. The roadside has become a parking lot. Car doors are open and people are staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing
out of the grocery store. The Little League baseball game Across the street has Come to a halt. Players and parents are searching
the clouds. And what they see, and what you see, has never before been seen. As if the sky were a curtain, the drapes of the
atmosphere part. A brilliant light spills onto the earth. There are no shadows. None. From whence came the light begins to
tumble a river of Color spiking Crystals of every hue ever seen and a million more never seen. Riding on the flow is an endless
fleet of angels. They pass through the curtains one myriad at a time, until they occupy every square Inch of the sky. North.
South. East. West. Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound of the trumpets, you can hear the
cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy, holy, holy. The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four silver-bearded elders
and a multitude of souls who Join the angels in worship. Presently the movement stops and the trumpets are silent, leaving
only the triumphant triplet: Holy, Holy, holy. Between each word is a pause. With each word, a profound reverence. You hear
your voice join in the chorus. You don't know why you say the words, but you know you must. Suddenly, the heavens are quiet.
All is quiet. The angels turn, you turn, the entire world turns and there He is. Jesus. Through waves of light you see the
ilhouetted figure of Christ the King. He is atop a great stallion, and the Stallion is atop A billowing cloud. He opens his
mouth, and you are surrounded by his declaration: I am the Alpha and the Omega. The angels bow their heads. The elders remove
their crowns. And before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you know: Nothing else matters. Forget stock
markets and school reports. Sales meetings and football games. Nothing is newsworthy.. All that mattered, matters no
More....for Christ has come.
