Twas The
Night Before Halloween
By

Twas
the night before Halloween
And
all through the house
Every
creature was stirring
Even
the mouse!
The
skeletons were hanging
With
the ghosts at the grave
Medusa
came out
And
the witch came to play
The
vampire and wizard
Were
both hanging around
With
Eve (Bride of Frankenstein)
And
her Hell-Hound.
I
was dressed all in black
And
my man in his cloak
We
were starting to party
And
getting all stoked!
When
the clown and the scarecrow
Dropped
in to say “Howdy”
We
sprang to the door
To
see why they were rowdy.
When
what to our blank, vacant eyes did appear
But
a miniature Thing –
Dr.
It (whom we fear).
With
her little black med kit
And
a bottle of wine
We
knew in a moment
She
was really quite fine
She
was dressed all in curls
From
her head to her feet
With
her arms hanging down
Barely
passing her knees
Reaching
into her bag
She
pulled out a huge needle!
The
scarecrow passed out –
(she
was feeling quite feeble)
The
clown started laughing
And
grabbed his balloons
We
all started floating
Dancing
under the Moon
There
were pumpkins
And
tombstones –
Zombies
and bats –
Spider
webs and sugar skulls –
Chocolates!
And Rats!
We
danced and we played
Underneath
the moonlight
Till
the morning came
Then
we all said
“Good
Night”
