Now playing Sad Lisa by Cat Stevens

Here we are again in the early morning hours
Up at 2:30 or 3:00 a.m.
Smoke half a pack of cigarettes by 5:00
Tired, burning eyes

(I forgot parts of this poem, will have to re-write)

Pay for your crime as we did
Lock you up and throw away the key (that's what you did to me)
God, have mercy on the child molester.
And, God, have mercy on the child who has been abused
Penetrate them, envelop them, in Your Love
Keep them warm.
Send Your Light to guide them
Someday into Your Arms
Soothe the wounds
And take away the pain
Give them a chance to live again
Through Your Son
Who bore it all to set them free
It's hard to trust
When they've been betrayed
Give them faith in You, God I pray
Bring a new day, a new heart, a new mind
Restore the joy they left behind
Touch them with Your Healing Hand
And lead them into the Promised Land
This really isn't much of a prayer
But, God, I know that You care
You sent Your Son
To save my soul
To fix me up
And make me whole
Though there's many things
I don't understand
I'll believe in You the best that I can
I'll take hold of the hand
That was scarred by the nails
'Cause He understands the pain that I feel
And when this life is over
And I look upon His Face
I'll thank Him forever
For His Amazing Grace.
